Went to Wilmette with the intention of banging out about 200 balls. Ended up hitting about 1/2 of that. One of my best sessions in a while.
Did a pretty good job establishing a consistant pre-shot routine.
1) Approach the ball and identify and target.
2) Check feet for correct alignment
3) Take a 1/4 backswing, then 1/2 a backswing swing bring back to ball coming inside with good swing line
4) Immediately take nice easy swing, driven by shoulders-- don't flip the wrists. Better using by feet as a paralell line to ensure good swing plane.

Saturday, September 22nd
Played about 13 holes at Winnetka. 1-9, 10,11, 14,15.
Hit the driver pretty well, middle irons horribly and short game Ok. Have definitely been staying better balanced on my driver. need to really get into a better pre-shot routine and stay behind the ball. Have been swinging easier when i can get into a rut. I need to start getting into more of a pre-shot routine at the range.

intro blog
ok, here is another blog for me. However, i really don't intend for others to read it.
The purpose of this journal is my golf game. Really more of a journal. I think i learned when playing poker is that the way to improve is to record and reflect on each session. This is what I intend to do here. Right about what went right, what went wrong and ideally what caused it.
